The heavy-duty, hydraulically powered C-2000 tube expander machine accurately expands and reduces tubing from 25.4mm (1.0") through 70 mm (2.75") using segmented tooling. In addition, a pearcing head is available for hole piercing. |

When operating a tube expander, the tube is positioned over a set of segmented fingers and the operator depresses a footswitch which drives a hydraulically powered tapered mandrel into the tooling. For reducing, the tube is inserted into a set of jaw segments. Upon footswitch activation, the jaw segment is driven forward through a tapered cone ring, collapsing the jaws and reducing the tube end. |
GMS-VS The GMS-VS tube expander is a double-headed end-plate seaming machine for use in automotive silencer and muffler production. The muffler shell assembly, complete with internal baffles and endplates, is loaded onto the seaming chuck. Roll seams and flat/double seams are easily produced on the GMS-VS.
